Dave actually researched all the top-rated painting companies in the area and picked out 4 that he thought would do a good job based on their reviews ( yours was on yelp, I believe). Then we had those 4 come over to the house to do estimates.
I have to be honest and say AJ Paintmasters was the highest of the 4 estimates. But I was so impressed by the fact that Alex came himself to do the estimate, was so sincere and knowledgeable. So we selected you because we KNEW the job would be done right. So even though we found you on yelp, your best advertising is Alex and really all of your employees. We have already recommended your company to neighbors and friends.
I also want to say that in addition to the ease of working with you and Alex, we LOVED your painters…especially the two gentlemen who did the trim work. They were so careful not to let our dogs out and we’re very considerate of doors that were going to be painted, which windows would be covered first, etc.

I highly recommend AJ Paintmasters. I found them initially through my property manager when I rented a very nice property in Tiburon. I then used them when I bought my home in Larkspur. So, I’ve known them and their work for a couple years.
First off, Alex and Leslie are great people. Alex is very professional, punctual and accurate. I’ve also seen him in action on behalf of a client at Tamalpais Paint as a bystander, and he’s known and liked by everyone and he’s also a huge advocate for his clients.
I found their pricing to be very fair and even slightly below other quotes.
As for the work, they not only did an outstanding job, but my place was immaculate when they finished. Upon completion Alex arranged a walk through and made certain everything was handled to perfection. They also went above and beyond and helped me with something else – I can’t remember- maybe a light fixture. I did not encounter any change orders because the job was in scope and completed as what was initially discussed. Since painting is pretty straight forward, change orders often happen due to the customer. I recommend having a contractor share what potential issues may or could arise that would result in a change order and ask what those costs could potentially be, so you have an idea of best and worst case scenarios.
In addition, all paint used was left and dated- which is nice when you need it down the road.
I’m the treasurer of condos HOA board and have hired other contractors referred by our our board president and I will never NOT use AJ Paintmasters again. In addition, they’re people that I personally like doing business with and sad to see them go when the job is finished.
I’m about to hire them again for another project.

I hired AJ PaintMasters Plus to paint the exterior of my Eichler home, and there are not enough superlatives to describe the outstanding results that Alex and his crew delivered. His employees were pleasant and professional throughout the process, and they took obvious pride in their work. Alex was often onsite, although his crews were were diligent with or without his presence. The time and effort they took on the preparation phase was particularly impressive, as my old house needed a lot of scraping, sanding, caulking, and dry rot remediation. They took special care to cover and tape off windows and ground covering for the main painting phase. Plus they took the time to return after all paint had dried for a final once-over, in which they spruced up tiny details that had escaped my notice. We feel like we live in a new home, and I highly recommend AJ PaintMasters Plus.

We had AJ PaintMasters Plus paint all of our interior doors, which were finished in the original wood varnish color that was extremely dated and tired.
Instead of buying new doors, we took a chance and had them repainted in a contemporary white color, which they had in stock and ready to go. They worked quickly, conscientiously and the quality of their workmanship is beyond evident every time we look at the finished product.
